National Night Out | Fall
A crime and drug prevention event that is sponsored nationally by the National Association of Town Watch and co-sponsored locally by the San Jose Police Department. National Night Out is designed to heighten crime and drug prevention awareness; generate support for, and participation, local anti-crime efforts; and strengthens neighborhood spirit and police/community partnerships. We hope to see you at the event every Fall.
Northside Holiday Potluck | December
Get to know your neighbors by sharing a meal during the holidays. The NNA hosts an annual potluck event at a local venue for Northside San Jose residents with attendance from the Mayor and Councilmembers. It's a priority for the association to continue providing opportunities to gather and foster relationships with neighbors. Annually around December, we ask that you bring a tasty dish to share and spend time chatting and bonding with your neighbors.
Luna Park Chalk Art Festival | September
The Luna Park Chalk Art Festival attracts over 3,000 artists, students, vendors, and community members for a colorful day in Northside San José’s Backesto Park. Artists, students and chalk enthusiasts create over 150 pieces of diverse art throughout the park’s pathways, including original works, classical recreations, traditional Italian madonarri street painting, 3D realistic works, cartoons, modern abstractions, and more. In addition to the artwork, the festival features a main stage of local musicians, dancers and performers, as well as local food trucks and vendor booths. The Luna Park Chalk Art Festival and Luna Park Arts Foundation are 100% volunteer run.
